A new pilot program in Carroll County, Md. will support the local tech ecosystem.
StartUp Lab is a new initiative by the Mid Atlantic Gigabit Innovation Collaboratory , or MAGIC, designed to support tech companies throughout the county. According to MAGIC, the program will work to foster growth, innovation, collaboration, and community while providing guidance to local startups.
Half a dozen entrepreneurs will be selected to join the year-long StartUp Lab and receive support from a group of industry mentors, with the chance to discuss challenges and receive insightful coaching. The program was created in collaboration with the Maryland Department of Commerce, Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO), Startup Portal, and Carroll County Department of Economic Development.
