Precision metal fabrication company Ridge Engineering  has expanded its presence in Carroll County with a new manufacturing facility.

Located on Legacy Drive, the 85,000 square-foot building is adjacent to the company’s existing headquarters in Hampstead where it employs nearly 200 workers. Ridge Engineering is the first building to be completed in the new section of the North Carroll Business Park.

According to the Carroll County Department of Economic Development , the veteran-owned company was founded in 1967 by husband and wife team Bob and Edith Tracey, and has expanded several times over the years. In 2020, the duo purchased 10 acres of land to build this new state-of-the-art operation, which officially opened in October.

”I thank the Tracey family for their investment in our County and will ensure we continue to nurture other businesses who can grow to their potential right here in Carroll County,” said County Commissioner Kenneth Kiler of District 2.
