    • SBIR and STTR grant funding opportunities offer small business entrepreneurs a chance to obtain non-dilutive funding for early-stage research and development.
  • Promoting Diversity in SBIR/STTR 
    • The NIA SBIR/STTR programs offer administrative supplements to further support your journey to commercialization. The Diversity Supplement is designed to provide support for research and entrepreneurial experiences for individuals from the diverse backgrounds throughout the continuum from undergraduate to the faculty level.

  • Request Your Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) Needs Assessment Report 
    • Recent Phase I SBIR or STTR awardees (grant, contract, or Fast-Track) of NIH, FDA, or CDC, can request a free, third-party assessment of a Phase I project’s progress in technical and business areas that are critical to success in the competitive healthcare marketplace.
  • Johnson & Johnson Quickfire Challenges 
  • Alliance for Pediatric Device Innovation 
    • Apply by September 23
      The Alliance for Pediatric Device Innovation (APDI), led by Children’s National Hospital, in collaboration with Additional Ventures, has opened a grant opportunity for pediatric medical devices to diagnose, treat, and monitor pediatric patients with heart conditions. Grants up to $50,000 each are available for pediatric-specific solutions selected by a panel of experts from submitted proposals. Up to $300,000 in grant funds are available for distribution through this program.
  • NIH Blueprint MedTech Incubator Hub Cycle 5 
    • Apply by October 4
      This program is seeking collaborative projects aimed at developing emerging technologies into commercially viable, clinically focused solutions for disorders of the nervous system that are aligned with the mission and interests of the participating NIH institutes and centers. Receive up to $500,000 in direct costs per year for up to 4 years. Benefit from ongoing mentorship with seasoned industry executives and access a full suite of resources and support services.
  • Tech Stars AI Health Baltimore 
    • Apply by November 20
      Techstars AI Health Baltimore powered by Johns Hopkins University and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield brings together their respective expertise to create a flagship healthcare accelerator program in Baltimore, MD. Adam Phillips, the former managing director of Techstars Equitech, will lead the intensive, 13-week program focused on supporting entrepreneurs leading healthtech, medtech, and biotech startups. Startups will receive capital, guidance from experts, and other support required to navigate the complexities of the healthcare ecosystem and regulatory environment.

BioBuzz

BioBuzz is an online community for industry professionals and job seekers looking to plug into the regional biotech community. The site shares local life sciences news, events, jobs and more.

BioHub Maryland

BioHub Maryland connects local students and aspiring professionals to a variety of tools to help them understand career pathways in life sciences. The site also posts information on available training and higher education programs, jobs and internships. Local businesses can use the site to post open positions.

TEDCO

TEDCO (Maryland Technology Development Corporation) offers a variety of programs to connect early-stage, technology-based businesses to funding, mentors and peers.
