Nearly $7 million has been awarded to ten entities working on innovation infrastructure projects throughout Maryland.
The funding comes from the state’s Build Our Future grant program, which is designed to transform and accelerate growth in eligible technology sectors. Grants can be awarded to private companies, nonprofits, government organizations, and colleges and universities.
Recipients include Blackbird Laboratories (Baltimore City); Frederick Community College (Frederick County); HighT-Tech (Prince George’s County); LaunchPort, LLC (Baltimore City); Liatris (Montgomery County); Medcura (Prince George’s County); Novel Microdevices (Baltimore City); Silvec Biologics (Montgomery County); Technology Advancement Center (Howard County); and Washington College (Kent County).
“These grants represent investments not just in individual companies but in broader growth with these key industry sectors,” said Maryland Commerce Secretary Harry Coker, Jr. “The projects have the potential to drive innovation and discovery and help build a stronger and more competitive Maryland economy.”
