A total of 130 Maryland businesses have been named among the fastest-growing companies in the country, according to the latest Inc. 5000 rankings.
The recent announcement, which includes industries ranging from human resources to IT management, features 21 local companies named among the top 500 in the nation. <strong>Click here to read the full list of Maryland companies.</strong>
“I’m thrilled to learn that Maryland has 130 companies listed among the fastest-growing in the country,” said Maryland Commerce Secretary Kelly M. Schulz. “From Lexington Park to Rockville to Middle River, our regions are thriving and our businesses are becoming some of the most successful in America—proving that Maryland truly is open for business.”
This is the highest number of companies Maryland has had on the Inc. 5000 compilation in the past three years, with 2018 ranking 111 companies, and the previous two years ranking 120 and 119, respectively.
Leading the local companies is Homesnap, a Bethesda-based business that provides a mobile platform for real estate agents and homebuyers alike. The app gives real-time multiple listing service data to both shoppers and brokerages, providing the most up-to-date details about available homes at the touch of a button. The company has also been named to Inc.’s Best Workplaces rankings for the past two years.
