An emergency mass notification company is planning its move to Baltimore with hundreds of jobs in tow.

Alertus Technologies announced last year that it purchased a 40,000 square-foot building at 10 N. Charles Street, where it plans to move its existing workforce and add over 100 new jobs. The company's new location will become the Alertus Center for Intelligent Buildings, featuring the industry’s leading systems for security, life safety, and more.

This expansion will allow Alertus to expand its presence in Maryland, and also showcase its smart building technologies surrounding surveillance, intrusion detection, mass notifications, access control, and fire systems. More than 1,000 organizations around the world have implemented Alertus’ systems for emergency situations such as weather events, bomb threats, shooting incidents, and chemical spills.
