A former Catholic high school in Southwest Baltimore has officially been transformed into a modern logistics campus, with PepsiCo as its first tenant.

The land occupied by the former Seton Keough High School, which closed in 2017, is now known as City Logistics —a 33-acre redevelopment on Caton Avenue immediately adjacent to I-95. The project contains two state-of-the-art industrial buildings totaling approximately 300,000 square-feet for companies looking to establish warehouse space, distribution centers, and more.

The first building at 1201 S. Caton Avenue, fully-leased to the multinational food, snack, and beverage corporation, totals over 112,000 square-feet. The second building , 1255 S. Caton Avenue, delivered in June and totals just over 187,000 square-feet. The park also offers an Enterprise Zone resulting in significant savings on property taxes over the next 10 years.

According to developer MRP Industrial , City Logistics will enhance the quality of life for communities throughout Southwest Baltimore by reactivating a key commercial site and providing more than 250 new jobs once fully leased. Those employment opportunities often come with immediate access to benefits, transferable skill training, competitive compensation, and access to leadership development programs.

“Because of its unrivaled access to I-95, LEED® Silver designation, and best-in-class building characteristics, City Logistics continues to draw attention from global, national and regional corporate users who are looking to grow their presence in Baltimore,” said Kate Nolan Bryden, senior vice president at MRP Industrial.

Locating at City Logistics allows companies to easily access some of Maryland’s most in-demand infrastructure assets, including I-95, the Port of Baltimore, BWI Airport, and two Class 1 freight rail carriers. And with e-commerce consistently on the rise, modern logistics centers like this one will continue thriving throughout the Mid Atlantic.
