Last month, local, state, and federal officials kicked off the development of Mistletoe Hall Commerce-Business Park, Easton’s newest business park.
Mistletoe Hall Commerce-Business Park is comprised of 86.25-acres of land on Goldsborough Neck Road and borders Easton Airport and Talbot Commerce Park. The business park will include seven parcels, offering prime location to encourage entrepreneurial activity and business expansion and attraction. The land was set aside many years ago for business and industrial use and has long been part of Easton’s long-range plans for growth.
Funding for the project came from a number of local, state, and federal partners. In addition to funds committed to the project from the Town of Easton and Talbot County Government, the Rural Maryland Council awarded $250,000 and the United States Department of Commerce – Economic Development Administration awarded $2,282,750.
“This investment will create jobs and help our businesses grow and prosper,” says Easton Mayor Bob Willey. “The Mistletoe Hall project will help ensure that Easton will flourish in the coming years, and we are grateful to all who assisted in making this happen.”
The funding will allow for the roads, storm water management, and utilities to be constructed, resulting in a “pad” space available for short or long-term lease. The project is expected to take approximately 24-36 months to complete.
