The Maryland Department of Commerce, NASA Goddard , and MEDCO have signed an agreement that will benefit the aerospace industry throughout Maryland.
The three-year MOU will bring collaboration to Commerce and NASA for STEM education, aerospace industry development, technology transfer, and more. The agreement will support growth in Greenbelt around NASA Goddard’s Space Flight Center in Prince George’s County, and on Maryland’s Lower Eastern Shore near the Wallops Flight Facility, while MEDCO works with the state and NASA to host business outreach events in those areas.
“Maintaining and growing Maryland’s strategic advantage in the aerospace industry requires collaboration with our formidable partners at facilities like the Goddard Space Flight Center,” said Maryland Department of Commerce Secretary Kevin Anderson.
