A global food services leader is reinvesting in its U.S. headquarters with a new facility in Maryland.
Sodexo is leasing an approximately 52,000 square-foot space in North Bethesda, located within the new mixed-use Pike & Rose development. The location will host the company’s 275 full-time employees for at least the next 10 years, with Sodexo anticipating completing construction by the end of next year.
Sodexo has called Montgomery County its North American home since 1998. The company has a presence in more than 50 countries and employs more than 90,000 people at thousands of locations.
The Maryland Department of Commerce is working on approving a $687,927 conditional loan through Advantage Maryland (MEDAAF) to help the company complete the project in the county, along with $70,000 investment from Montgomery County.
Choice Hotels, one of the largest global lodging franchisors, also chose to recently relocate its headquarters to Pike & Rose, with plans to employ 450 full-time workers at the site over the next five years. The development calls itself the premier destination for entertainment, dining, working, and more in North Bethesda.
