Request Your Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) Needs Assessment Report 

Recent Phase I SBIR or STTR awardees (grant, contract, or Fast-Track) of NIH, FDA, or CDC, can request a free, third-party assessment of a Phase I project’s progress in technical and business areas that are critical to success in the competitive healthcare marketplace.

TEDCO technical and business assistance Program

The Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) is a program that allows federal agencies to provide funding to SBIR/STTR Phase I and Phase II awardees to enhance their project’s commercialization potential. The program focuses on overcoming technical challenges, optimizing commercialization strategies, and minimizing risks associated with bringing innovative products or processes to market.

Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP)

The Alzheimer’s Research Program (AZRP) released a pre-announcement for the following funding opportunities: Transforming Care Award, Transforming Diagnosis Award, and Transforming Research Award.

The Autism Research Program (ARP) released a pre-announcement for the following funding opportunities: Career Development Award, Clinical Trial Research Award, and Idea Development Award.

The Peer Reviewed Medical Research Program (PRMRP) released a pre-announcement for the following funding opportunities: Clinical Trial Award, Discovery Award, Impact Award, Lifestyle and Applied Health Research Award, Platform Clinical Translation Award, Research Advancement Award, and Technology/Therapeutic Development Award.

The Traumatic Brain Injury and Psychological Health Research Program (TBIPHRP) released a pre-announcement for the following funding opportunities: Clinical Trial Award, Health Services Research Award, and Translational Research Award.

ARPA-H Open Funding Opportunities

The Delphi program will spur a new development ecosystem that provides quick access to cutting-edge bioelectronics and sensing strategies. This approach will spur innovation with tiny, smart, next-generation “chiplets” that optimize delivery of real-time insights of important internal signals like hormones, immune markers, and therapeutic drug levels. Apply by May 13.

The One Comprehensive Universal Radiotherapy for Everyone (1-CURE) program will develop a single, rapid, low-cost, and accessible radiotherapy approach to battle all types of cancer, including local, metastatic and RT-resistant cancers.  Apply by May 22.

The Critical Illness Immunological Reprogramming and Control Point Learning Engine (CIRCLE) aims to develop new digital twin capabilities to treat critical illness using the latest in AI and diagnostics. This innovation will determine immune system control points that can enable better use of existing immunotherapies as well as next-generation interventions for critical care. Apply by May 28.

Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS) Program

Market-driven new technology and innovation leads to new products and new jobs. Creating jobs in innovative Maryland companies is what the Maryland Industrial Partnerships (MIPS) program has been doing since 1987: bringing the inventive minds and extensive laboratory resources of the University System of Maryland (USM) to bear on creating the new products that feed the growth of Maryland businesses. Since the program’s inception, MIPS–enabled products have generated sales of $52.7 B. MIPS is nationally recognized by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a model program for best practices in transferring technology and is a proven program that contributes significantly to job creation and high-tech product development in Maryland.
