Bakery de France, a leading supplier of par-baked breads and retail bakery products, is expanding operations with a new manufacturing facility in Frederick, further growing its investment in Maryland.
Located at 8400 Bakery Way, the project is expected to create 125 new full-time permanent jobs by the end of 2028. The company’s current Frederick facility specializes in the fermentation processes for its signature breads; the new 176,000-square-foot facility will enhance production of baguettes, dinner rolls, loaves, and other baked goods.
This new operation – the company’s third location in Maryland and the U.S. – is being developed in partnership with Belgium-based La Lorraine Bakery Group, the company’s joint venture partner.
“Bakery de France’s continued investment highlights the strength of Maryland’s manufacturing sector, while showcasing Frederick’s strong role in Maryland’s economy,” said Maryland Department of Commerce Secretary Harry Coker, Jr. “This expansion not only reinforces the company’s long-standing commitment to our state, but also brings new job opportunities and investment to the region. We’re proud to support innovative, sustainable businesses like Bakery de France as they expand in Maryland.”
