A software development company from South Asia is opening its first U.S. location in Frederick.
As part of the Maryland Global Gateway Soft Landing Program, Opus Technology LTD will make its entrance into the U.S. via the Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc. (FITCI). Participating in the state’s Global Gateway program will allow the company to test out the U.S. market at an affordable rate, with access to facilities, resources, advisors, and more.
“We are excited to join the FITCI community and call Frederick County our United States home,” said Opus Technology CEO Jafar Iqbal. “The county’s strong technology ecosystem, talented workforce, and supportive business environment make it the ideal place for us to innovate and grow.”
Since 2012, Opus has specialized in designing and delivering advanced solutions for financial technology. The company has provided custom software, banking apps, AI systems, and web platforms that help customers maintain efficiency and security.
“With a focus on enterprise solutions and navigating the digital landscape, Opus Technology brings a wealth of knowledge to the Frederick Innovative Technology Center,” said Maryland Commerce Secretary Harry Coker, Jr. “We are pleased to welcome this innovative software development company to Maryland and look forward to growing our relationship with its headquarters in Bangladesh.”
