More than 100 of the fastest-growing companies in the country are based right here in Maryland, according to the latest Inc. 5000 rankings.
The recent announcement names 120 Maryland companies in the rankings, including six businesses among the top 500 in the nation. <em>Click here to read the full list of Maryland companies</em>.
"I couldn't be happier to learn that more than 100 Maryland businesses are included in this year's Inc. 5000 compilation," said Maryland Commerce Secretary Mike Gill. "We are dedicated to fostering a business-friendly environment and seeing these rankings climb year after year proves that we really are open for business."
Topping the charts for Maryland is Baltimore City-based RightDirection Technology Solutions, ranking 70th with more than 5,100 percent growth over the last three years. The veteran-owned business provides innovative solutions and world-class IT services to its customers, including the Department of Defense and a number of other federal government agencies.
Other companies included in the Inc. 5000 are WeddingWire (1956), an online marketplace for event vendors and planners that announced 200 new jobs in Chevy Chase last year; United Solutions (2027) and Orbit Logic (2224), that have both taken advantage of our ExportMD program to expand to international markets; and Dataprise (4432), an IT service company that has been honored by Inc. an impressive 12 times.
