For more than 25 years, ASAP Stuff has provided screen-printing, embroidery, and other promotional services to businesses in Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic.
With its state-of-the-art equipment and the latest digital printing machines, ASAP produces much of its work in-house and offers clients a huge collection of items to choose from. The company's inventory consists of more than 800,000 different products, including pens, stickers, banners, and coffee mugs.
"There must be more than 25,000 different types of pens to choose from," said co-owner Tom Sylvester.
Having such a large selection of products is one way ASAP keeps its clientele coming back for more. To this day, the company still works with its first customer – a print contractor – that it landed right after forming the business.
For years, the screen-printing business has had a long-standing relationship with the town of Ocean City. The company worked with the organizers of Ocean City Bike Week for 14 years, where they were the event's official apparel supplier. ASAP has also worked with Ocean City's Jeep Week since it was established in 2010, and they've enjoyed every minute, according to art director Terry Girvin.
"It doesn't get any better than being able to draw what you love," said Terry Girvin, art director for ASAP. "Creating the art and apparel line for Jeep Week has been a blast. I like to work in little details in the design that only Jeep people will pick up on."
"I'm always trying to outdo the previous year's retail line and I think, so far, we've been successful with that goal. I'm very fortunate to be a part of the event, if only in a small way," said Girvin.
The company was founded after Sylvester sold his first business in the 1990's, and later joined forces with Darrell Meade to open two ASAP locations in Millersville, MD and Seaford, DE. Sylvester believes that Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic is a great place for businesses to thrive and collaborate with other companies.
"Maryland is so compact with businesses that you can find plenty of other clients to work with," said Sylvester.
