In just under 20 years, Showtime Sound LLC has grown from a small audio-visual studio outfit into a nationally recognized full-service event production company.
Since its founding in 2006, owners Scott Tydings and Shawn Hocherl have built a reputation for delivering seamless audio, lighting, video, and staging solutions for events of all sizes. From intimate gatherings to sold out arenas, the team combines cutting‑edge equipment with verified expertise to ensure every production sounds, looks and feels exceptional.

Even as Showtime Sound grows to serve clients nationwide, the company still remains deeply connected to its homebase of Frederick County. In 2024, the business celebrated the grand opening of a new 32,560 square‑foot warehouse facility at 8421 Broadband Drive, symbolizing a significant investment in the county. The warehouse has provided extra storage space as the company continues to grow and evolve, currently employing around 30 full-time and seasonal employees. The company has also continued to stay involved in the community and surrounding areas, paying special attention to local economic development agencies and partnering with the Frederick Chamber of Commerce, Tech Frederick, Visit Baltimore, and Visit Frederick.
