The international market for cutting-edge cybersecurity technology is hotter than everespecially in Israel.
Maryland firms will embark on the State's second cyber trade mission to Israel this March, in conjunction withCYBERTECH 2015in Tel Aviv. TheMaryland Department of Business and Economic Development's(DBED) cyber development teamis inviting companies throughout the State to participate.
"Having brought a small group in 2014, including DBED'sDirector ofCyberDevelopmentJeffrey Wells, and seeing such incredible results, we're looking forward to bringing an even larger group this year," said Peter Telem, Director of Business Development at theMaryland Israel Development Center, which will host the mission.
The mission includes the following:
March 20-22: Optional Weekend Tour of Jerusalem
March 22: Visit CyberSpark, the Israel cybersecurity center (Be'er Sheva); welcome reception and dinner
March 23:CYBERTECH ConferenceRegistration and Gala (Tel Aviv)
March 24-25:CYBERTECH Conference(Tel Aviv)
March 26: Business meetings and/or site visits
Interested Maryland companies may take advantage of theExportMD Program, but only if they apply to the program by Feb. 1. Companies that receive an ExportMD Award are eligible for up to $5,000in reimbursement for international marketing project expenses and can also receive up to40 hours of assistance from DBED's trade experts.
"Our first cyber trade mission to Israel helped kindle interest in what we have to offer in Maryland, and it has resulted in multiple visits to the State by Israeli companies.One of the many benefits of attending this year's trip is meeting companies with which you can collaborate. It's a great opportunity for businesses," Telem said.
